Fracture care in the orthopaedic world is unique in its nature of sudden onset and requirement for immediate care.
The united team of surgeons at UOS has the combined experience in caring for patients with complicated traumatic injuries that is unmatched in East Tennessee, providing care for the only Level 1 Trauma Center in East Tennessee. Under the leadership of surgeons, the team of physician assistants, nurses, and administrative staff work together to deliver high quality, coordinated fracture care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Serious orthopaedic fractures often require both immediate and follow-up care. Fracture care and reconstruction at UOS includes pre-operative evaluations, diagnostic testing, patient education and counseling, surgical repair, wound care, and the application and removal of casts and splints.
