Cally Alewine, F.N.P.
Cally calls Knoxville, Tennessee, home. She began her medical career as a certified nursing assistant going on to become a registered nurse and beginning her nursing career at UT Medical Center in the joint replacement and orthopaedic trauma unit. She enjoyed caring for complex trauma patients and those who had elective joint replacements and the excitement of giving those a new perspective in their lives throughout their recovery. As a registered nurse, Cally obtained her orthopaedic nurse certification through the National Orthopaedic Association. After years of nursing, she was inspired to pursue her Master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner. Throughout her time working with the orthopaedic and trauma populations, Cally has enjoyed being a part of the care and journey of those she cares for. In her role with University Orthopaedic Surgeons, Cally provides care to complex traumatic orthopaedic patients in the hospital.
When she is not working, Cally enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and dog, Merci. She enjoys cheering on the Vols, spending time with her friends, days on the lake, and not missing an opportunity to see a sunset.
