JOB TITLE:  Radiologic Technologist

Radiologic Technologist - For a full-time position at our University Orthopaedic Surgeons office. This role will be Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling. The Rad Tech will be responsible for radiographs, quality control, patient care, cleaning and stocking supplies. Must be a team player and possess the ability to communicate with technologists, staff and physicians. Ideal candidate will rotate between offices. ARRT and Tennessee State license required.

JOB TITLE:  MRI Front Office Specialists

MRI Front Office Specialist - For a full-time opportunity at our University Orthopaedic Surgeons office. The MRI Front Office Specialists will be 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday and Wednesdays, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Fridays and an occasional Saturday rotation. The MRI Front Office Specialist will be responsible for checking patients in and out, obtaining copayments and verifying insurance, scheduling follow ups and additional administrative duties as needed. Excellent customer service skills, high level of detail and multitasking and ability to maintain a positive demeanor with patients, peers, supervisors, and phyiscians. Computer skills and physician office experience is a plus.

JOB TITLE:  Medical Assistant - Sevierville 

Medical Assistant - For a Monday through Friday opportunity with flexible scheduling. Responsibilities for the Medical Assistant include assisting physician in clinic, pulling patients back, and entering demographic information, various clinical and clerical duties. JOB TITLE:  Administrative Assistant 

Administrative Assistant - For a full-time opportunity at our University Orthopaedic Surgeons office. This Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties essential to service line operations and support. Serves as a representative and service line liaison. Routinely assists the Serve Line Directors and providers with communication, projects, and administrative tasks. Exhibits a high level of professionalism, organization, and integrity. 

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: 

  • Works with Site Manager to schedule resident physicians, medical students with time slots for observing and/or shadowing various providers in accordance with program standards. 

  • Routinely provides administrative support to Service Line Director & Providers. Tasks include but are not limited to:

    • Prepping and supporting Service Line and Providers meeting and communication

    • Reimbursement coding and invoicing support (Doc Link)

    • Maintains physician calendars.

      • Handles schedulin of interviews, depositions, and meetings

      • Physician Conference Attendance and CEU Maintenance 

    • Referral relations assistance and correspondance

    • Collaborates with credentialing and maintains provider CVs.

  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance to KOC Policies and HIPAA guidelines.

  • Reporting and data capture support

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of KOC operations, policies, and procedures.

  • Knowledge of provider professional requirements.

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in use of electronic health record software.

  • Proficient in use of various forms of office technology including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google products including but not limited to Google Calendar. Should have working knowledge of computer operating systems, printers, copiers, phone system, postage machine, etc. as well as the ability to assist physicians and other staff members with these when necessary.

  • Must be dependable, timely, organized and self-starter. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Promotes good public relations and customer service at all times. 

Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Experience in Medical office setting preferred.

JOB TITLE:  Pre-Certifications & Workman's Comp Coordinator

Pre-Certifications & Workman's Comp Coordinator to join our team at our University Orthopaedic Surgeons office for a Monday through Friday opportunity with flexible scheduling. The Pre-Certification & Workman's Comp Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing chart documentation to ensure patient meets medical policy guidelines, prioritize incoming authorization requests according to urgency, obtain authorization via payer website or by phone and follow up regularly on pending cases. Additionally, the Pre-Certification & Workman's Comp Coordinator will maintain individual payer files to include up to date requirements needed to successfully obtain authorizations, initiate appeals for denied authorizations, and contact patients to discuss authorization status. Must have excellent customer service skills; communicates clearly and effectively, ability to multitask and remain focuses while managing a high-volume, time-sensitive workload. Knowledge of procedure authorization and its direct impact to the practice's revenue cycle, basic understanding of human anatomy, specifically musculoskeletal, Detail oriented with above average organization skills, plans and prioritizes to meet deadlines.

University Orthopaedic Surgery Center Openings

JOB TITLE: OR Clinical Manager

OR Clinical Manager - For a full-time, Monday - Friday opportunity at our University Orthopaedic Surgery Center. The OR Clinical Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of personnel in the surgery department in compliance with the policies, procedures, and objectives of the facility. Additionally, will participate in planning for the work of 7 operating rooms and coordinate activities with patients' care areas. The OR Clinical Manager ensures that patient needs are met and evaluated OR nursing care and performance, will be working closely with the Executive Director in coordinating patient care service functions. Must have a valid RN license and previous medical experience. Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.

JOB TITLE:  Registered Nurse - Pre-Adminissions

Registered Nurse - For a full-time pre-admissions roll at our new University Orthopaedic Surgery Center. The Pre-Admissions Registered Nurse will be responsible for working within the pre-admission office and responsibilities will include initiating telephone conttact with patients to conduct pre-operative interview and evaluation of patient history, providing patient education regarding routine care and procedures, and obtain/review patient information lab work, testing, office visit notes and pre-operative clearances. Must have RN Licensure, be BLS certified and both ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire (provided at facility).
